ABOUT DUO
DUO Events is a full-service event agency specializing in curated experiences for luxury multifamily communities, developer groups, corporate partners, and select private groups. Rooted in the Phoenix market, we’ve become a trusted partner to industry leaders by delivering seamless, high-impact experiences that reflect the quality of their brand.
From grand openings to monthly programming, private events, brand activations, and milestone mixers, we manage every detail, from creative direction and strategy to staffing, vendor sourcing and coordination, and on-site execution.
Our work extends beyond traditional events. We collaborate with restaurants, creators, venues, and local businesses to build moments that activate spaces, strengthen communities, and bring brands to life. Our events are more than moments; they’re purpose-driven experiences designed to connect people, elevate environments, and reinforce the strength of the brands we serve.
ABOUT THE ROLE
DUO is building a small, high-performing hospitality team to support recurring events throughout Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, and surrounding communities.
We’re looking for two to three experienced, dependable professionals who bring strong hospitality instincts, polished guest service, and the ability to step into an event environment with confidence.
Ideal candidates have previous experience in restaurants, serving, bartending, hotels, resorts, golf courses, catering, event venues, private clubs, brand activations, or other guest-facing environments.
As part of our on-site team, you’ll assist with event setup, guest experience, beverage service, vendor support, event operations, and teardown. Your presence will help ensure every event runs smoothly, reflects DUO’s brand standards, and leaves a lasting impression.
This is flexible, part-time work with recurring midweek evening and weekend opportunities. Our strongest team members receive priority scheduling, increased responsibility, and opportunities to advance into bartending, logistics, and Event Lead assignments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with on-site setup and teardown of décor, food and beverage areas, signage, equipment, and event supplies
Greet and engage with residents and guests in a professional, welcoming manner
Provide attentive hospitality and guest service throughout the event
Serve beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages at 21+ events when assigned
Support DUO Event Leads, property teams, vendors, bartenders, DJs, and other event partners as needed
Manage check-in stations, wristbands, giveaways, activity tables, or other event elements
Restock supplies, clear used items, and maintain clean, organized, and polished event spaces
Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting light event materials when needed
Anticipate guest and operational needs and respond with professionalism and urgency
Represent the DUO Events brand through punctuality, hospitality, teamwork, and reliability
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in hospitality, serving, bartending, hotels, golf courses, restaurants, catering, events, or another guest-facing environment is strongly preferred
Strong customer service instincts and the ability to remain professional and welcoming throughout an event
Reliable midweek evening availability, with additional weekend availability
Events are typically scheduled Wednesday through Saturday and may occasionally take place on Sundays
Able to lift approximately 20–30 pounds and remain on your feet for the duration of a shift
Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in active or fast-paced event environments
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow event plans, instructions, and brand standards
Professional communication, a teamwork mentality, and a solution-oriented mindset
Must have a valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle, and reliable transportation
Must be dependable and able to arrive on time at event locations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area
Preferred Experience:
Bartending, alcohol service, food handling, or hospitality certifications
Experience working at apartment communities, luxury properties, hotels, resorts, golf courses, private clubs, or corporate events
Experience with event setup, beverage service, guest check-in, brand activations, or vendor coordination
Access to an SUV, hatchback, pickup truck, or vehicle with sufficient cargo space to transport event supplies
Previous leadership experience in hospitality, events, or guest service
YOU SHOULD KNOW
We operate like an agency: strategic, fast-moving, detail-oriented, and hospitality-driven.
We are intentionally building a small, dependable team rather than maintaining a large on-call staffing roster.
We value professionalism, initiative, integrity, and the ability to remain composed when plans change.
You’ll be trusted to take ownership of your responsibilities, stay organized, and contribute to the workflow without needing constant oversight.
Scheduling is based on event needs, availability, experience, reliability, and performance.
Our strongest team members receive priority scheduling and opportunities for recurring property assignments, bartending shifts, transportation support, and Event Lead roles.
We collaborate closely with apartment teams, residents, vendors, corporate partners, and executive stakeholders, so discretion, communication, and professionalism matter.
COMPENSATION
Starting pay is $17–$20 per hour based on hospitality experience, event experience, availability, and assigned responsibilities.
Higher rates may be available for bartending, transportation support, logistics, and Event Lead assignments.
Most shifts are approximately three to five hours, including setup and teardown. A minimum paid shift may apply based on the event assignment.
Team members assigned to transport event materials may receive additional compensation or mileage reimbursement.
